WORK EXPERIENCE:

USAISEC FDED, 01/23/2005 – 07/20/2012

Information Technology Management Specialist

Ft. Detrick, Maryland   United States

As an Information Management Specialist assigned to I3MP and IMOD projects, I was responsible for the Outside Plant (OSP) design, development, technical review of solicitations, implementation, integration, and management of the OSP copper and fiber optic communications cabling systems for Army wide information systems projects. This included local, campus and wide area networks, switching systems or network security systems. The systems included a variety of media for the transmission of information in voice, data or video format; and computer hardware, software, network devices, communications equipment and interconnecting transmission facilities. Systems were typically segments of major Army programs, such as a Campus Area Network providing information services to users on an Army post or a network providing mission-critical services to specific functional users on posts nationwide or worldwide. The preponderance of the work performed at Fort Detrick MD for ISEC Engineering was typically OSP design for Army CONUS wide cable and infrastructure installation, I also augmented the ISP teams as I was the only government RCDD with unshielded twisted pair UTP and fiber optic FOC premise distribution design experience and could provide the needed detailed design support for their structured cabling and supporting structure efforts when the ISP work extended beyond the service entrance of the buildings.

USAIC and FH 05/21/1983 to 01/23/2005

Directorate of Information Management

Ft. Huachuca, Arizona   United States

I worked independently as the Senior Telecommunications Specialist or Team Lead to design, estimate, coordinate, implement, integrate, and manage information mission area (IMA) projects for the Directorate using DOD/DA and Federal Contract Programs (OSCARII/WACS/GSA Answer) as well as local service contractors to support the ISP and OSP IT requirements. I was responsible for requirements review and analysis, design, bill of materials BOM, acquisition package, implementation, in progress inspections, QA/QC and final project acceptance. I was responsible for provisioning for management and installation/integration services, maintenance, monitoring, and evaluation of contractor capabilities during the technical review process, I served as the primary action officer for the Director of Information Management (DOIM) for estimation using the Information System Cost Estimator program (ISCE) for the design, review, and Quality Assurance (QA) of Military Construction Army (MCA) and Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) projects for the installation.
